Multiple Input-Single Output DC-DC Converters Assessment for Low Power Renewable Sources Integration

This paper presents a comparison of Isolated (Flyback) and non-Isolated (Buck) multiple input-single output (MISO) DC-DC converters. The analysis converters is based on pulsed voltage source cells (PVSC). modeling both converter types detailed through their mathematical models electrical simulations using Matlab/Simulink PSIM. focuses the sizing parameters, non-ideal characteristics efficiency. Results show that MISO Buck exhibits linear dependence duty cycles control signal has slightly higher efficiency than Flyback converter. To validate operation converters, scenario with two inputs (low-power hydroelectric photovoltaic sources) considered. systems are performance response evaluated under sources changes point view.
